Nature’s Breath
Restorative Guided Walks
Coming this April 2026
Step into quiet nature and breathe. Our guided Forest Bathing walks use sensory mindfulness to help you unplug, relax, and gently reconnect with yourself—perfect for finding calm, fresh perspective, and a restorative pause.
Each walk is unique to the moment and co-designed in partnership with the Forest, as well as thoughtfully tailored to the individual needs of the participants. The typical length of the walk is about two and a half hours, allowing plenty of time to drop into the unhurried pace of nature and permit your nervous system to re-calibrate to that calmer rhythm.
This is a low-exertion, sensory-based experience designed to foster an intimate relationship with nature rather than a hike. It follows a structured sequence of invitations including a welcoming introduction, sensory opening, wandering, and concluding tea ceremony to help participants move from analytical thinking into a present-moment, embodied state.
Forest bathing offers measurable health benefits — from reduced stress and lower blood pressure to improved mood and immune function — partly due to inhaling phytoncides, natural antimicrobial compounds released by trees that have been shown in studies to increase natural killer (NK) cell activity and bolster immune defenses.
The items needed for these walks are minimal. Please consider bringing something to sit on that’s easy to carry, a filled water bottle, and a small pack for your items. You may also want to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty, as well as any necessary protection from the elements such as sunscreen and a rain jacket.

Parent & Child Workshops
Coming Soon Spring 2026
See nature again through your child’s eyes. These workshops bring generations together to share wonder. Instead of a regular hike, they offer guided time for parents and children to be present, explore, and play in the forest or other natural places.
Parent/Child Awe & Wonder(ful) guided walks are part Forest Bathing, part environmental education, part play and 100% fun!
Catch insects, play creekside, create ephemeral art, and end the walk with a delightful tea service under the trees!
Dialog with the Wild
Nature Journaling Sessions
Coming Soon Spring 2026
Learn to use your journal to converse with the language of the land. With prompts to help you notice more deeply and observe the subtle details of nature’s form. Through simple invitations, you’ll slow down and record surroundings with sketching, reflective writing, and sensory mapping, guided gently with low-pressure creativity and a sense of connection to nature.
You don’t need to be an artist or a writer; just bring your curiosity, wonder and attention. Colored pencils are supplied. This activity is more akin to a hike than a walk. Depending on terrain, mild to moderate hiking is involved.
The Art of Seeing
Mindful Photography Sessions
Coming Soon Spring 2026
Turn your camera into a doorway to presence. Leave behind technical pressure and embrace the art of visual listening. Slow your pace to the forest’s own rhythm, letting the viewfinder become a meditative anchor as you attend to stories told by shifting light, tactile textures, and the forest’s small, exquisite wonders.
A smart phone, your imagination and attention is all you need for this experience! No photography experience needed! This offering is for mild-moderate hikers.
